Even though Ernő Rubik is also Hungarian, I wasn’t interested in the Rubik’s Cube until I was 17. I started cubing back in 2009. One of my high school friends, who I used to play Pokémon with started cubing. When he showed his new hobby to me I thought one thing: “I can do this too”. I borrowed another friend’s cube and spent the afternoon on YouTube. I learnt it in one afternoon from Dan Brown’s videos (Part One and Part Two). The next day I was already able to solve the cube. But I didn’t stop here. I started to time my solves and experiment with other puzzles. I currently own more than 100 puzzles and most of them don’t even look like cubes.
My first competition was in the same year at Hungarian Open 2009. In 2012 I became the fastest female competitor in Hungary in many events. It’s not an official title but it’s still a nice feeling. Although I don’t cube that much anymore I still own most of these titles (11. 02. 2018).
